If you're searching for a tailor near Fort Walton Beach, chances are you've noticed there aren't many true custom tailors right in town. That's where we come in — our studio is in Northwest Pensacola, just off Davis Highway near I-10 Exit 13, about a 45-minute drive from Fort Walton Beach. For a custom suit or dress that's actually built around you rather than pulled off a rack, it's worth the trip, and we make sure the appointment itself is worth your time once you're here.
We serve the whole Gulf Coast, not just Pensacola
While our studio is based in Pensacola, we regularly work with clients from across the Gulf Coast — Fort Walton Beach, Destin, Navarre, Crestview, Niceville, Panama City, and over into Alabama with Mobile, Daphne, and Gulf Shores. If you're anywhere in that stretch and searching for a tailor who does real made-to-measure work rather than basic alterations, we're likely already serving your area.
Appointment-only, by design
We work strictly by appointment — no walk-ins. It's not about exclusivity; it's because custom tailoring takes real, undivided time. A typical appointment runs about an hour, and during that time we're not rushing between other customers. It's just you, your measurements, and the decisions that go into your suit.
What to bring, and what happens at your appointment
Come in with a suit, dress shirt, or dress pants you already own and like the fit of, along with the dress shoes you plan to wear with your new piece. We use what you bring as a real reference point — an in-show fitting — to understand how you like things to sit before we ever start on something new. From there, we take full measurements, walk through fabric selection, and go over custom options like lining, monogramming, and construction details.
Fabric, fit, and finish
Every detail is decided in that first appointment — fabric weight and pattern, lapel style, buttons, lining — so that by the time you leave, there's nothing left to guess at. We build every piece around the person wearing it, not a standard size run.
Turnaround time
Most custom suits take about three to six weeks from your appointment to a finished piece, depending on complexity and the current schedule. If you're working around a wedding date, prom, ball, or event deadline, it's worth booking as early as you can to make sure there's enough runway.
What it costs
Custom suits range from $995 to $1,695, depending on fabric and the level of customization.
Who we work with
Our clients come in for a wide range of occasions — weddings, proms, military balls, galas, church events, and plenty of local businessmen and women who want a suit that actually fits right for the office. Given how close we are to Eglin Air Force Base and Hurlburt Field, military formal wear is a regular part of what we do, and we understand the specific standards and timelines that come with it.
40+ years of experience, and the reviews to back it up
We've been doing this for over 40 years, and it shows in the reviews — we currently hold a 5.0-star rating from clients across the Gulf Coast. Here's what one recent client, Tiffany, had to say:
"Rio did an amazing job for my husband's custom suit for our daughter's wedding back in October. We are so glad that we found him and will be sure to reach out again when he needs another!"
